If I replace my stock setup with an xpipe and duals back to GT takeoff mufflers will I need to get my injection system or computer calibrated?

Thanks guys for the input. On payday I'll make the choice and order. They aren't cheap.

I just today put on a Flowmaster Super40, and it sounds awesome! The guy that installed itwelded a 1 pound piece of steel to the back topside to eliminate drone and help stabilize the muffler andreduce any rattle. He said it basically does what the balancer that was on the factory setup does. I must say it sounds great, no drone whatsoever and it growls when you gas it...and believe this, he did it all for $120 bucks, of course the Flowmaster was on sale for $70 bucks, $20 for the nice stainless tip and $30 to remove the factory setup, cut off the muffler and weld onto the factory slip pipe, and the factorymounts, it slid perfectly into place and looks perfect.

Hey man,

Where did you find a American Thunder for $70?
Did you happen to hear it without the 1 lb weight to compare the sound?

The Muffler shop had them on special. It was such a deal I couldn't pass it up. I've heard them without the weight and it really doesn't change the tone at all, I think it's more to prevent rattles. Hell, I don't know if it really does anything at all but the installer said he puts it on all the Mustangs he does, I ain't the exhaust pro, but it sure don't rattle or drone inside my car, so maybe it works...who knows

I always hear that the stock V6 does not flow well and any aftermarket or GT takeoff is a good upgrade for not only sound but flow also. So ho do the fore mentioned mufflers flow, particullary the Amercian Thunder??
