Reving your engine
Ok, when i rev my engine in 1st gear it stops around 4000rpms, what resticts the engine from going to red line? Its a safety feature i'm guessing, but would this be part of the limiter? i'm posting this because i saw the Limiter post and was wondering if thats also the same thing that stops the car at 115mph

good call, thnx mdlesk. I was actually wrong in my 1st post... its actually in Neutral, and is there any way to get around that so that i can rev as high as i want, or would I need to look into changing more things around in the car to get it to rev higher in neutral?

I'm with SRMing. I wouldn't go past the rev limiter even if you could. There is a reason it's there...oh and by the way John, when are redoing your signature because didn't you get a few things done like a new hood and the gauge pod painted

You need a tuner like an X-Cal2 with will allow you to raise your neutral rev limiter... although i would advise against it... no need to float a valve...

I used my X-Cal2 todecrease my neutral rev limiter to 6000 rpm. I don't see a need to rev it high in neutral.

6000??? Isn't the limiter set to 4K? But yes, no reason to rev any higher than 4K in N anyway. Just asking for trouble.
