Default Parts identification

Had an unwelcome visitor underneath the engine intake manifold. Can anyone tell me what the sensor is in the middle of the top of the block under the manifold ? How about the metal rails that run either side and look like fuel or air mixture that are connect in the front by a rubber tube ? Can the rubber interconnect be replaced. It kind of looks like it is molded to the metal rails.

The thing ripped up the battery blanket and hood insulation and tried to stuff them under intake mainfold on the top of the engine. Very difficult to get at.It chewed on the sensor wire on the top under the intake and the rubber hose connecting the rails. Just not sure what each of the parts are exactly.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the part identification. It looks similar to thediagram.I'm still not sure what the sensor is in the middle of the top of the block. The sensor and wiring harness don't look like fun to replace.

It was a rodent of some sort either asquirrel or rat. Ripped the entire side off the battery blanketand stuffed the entirepiece under the intake manifold. It chewed a bit on the hood insulation. I usedwire to pull out the big stuff then blewout the smaller pieces. The sensor wire is chewed on pretty good along with the rubberized partof therail connection.

I would take photos but it is pretty hard to see the damage because of where it is.

Thanks again.

My brother suggestedthis would be a good excuse to install a super charger. You know having to perhaps replace the sensor under the intake anyway.

I'm having a hard time trying to understand what sensor and wiring you're talking about. If you can get a picture, I may be able to find you a part#..
