well without a tune ur only going to be looking at a 3 to 6 hp gain. but with a tune, u'll be looking at about 12 to 15 hp gain.

That's OK, but you might want to make a decision about your future mods. I mean, you can get by with a c.a.i. that doesn't require a tune, you might pick up a little bit, but later, if you get a tuner, you will be somewhat handicapped by a more restrictive c.a.i.. Something to think about.

well i emailed the guysat MRT and they said when they dyno'd it on a stock v6 it gave them about 12! i think im gonna go with this one. it doesnt require a tuner but unlike the AEM you can tune it eventually and get even more out of it. i think its worth it. it also doesnt hurt that it looks sexy as hell lol.

dude you can tune your ecu with any intake....the aem is no accepetion. The difference between the mrt/aem/k&n and say TI and C&L is that the ti and cl havelarger maf-s housings, which are less restrictive, but means you can't run the stock tune. They will show better gains than mrt/aem with a tune. ive decided to not get any intake because i am going to be going f/i this sumemr so it would just be a waste of money, but if i were you i would just save up for ti/xcal combo or something. you can get the combo from ti for like 479.

Just installed the MRT intake guys and you can definatly hear/tell the difference. of course its not as big of a diff as if u were to have a tune. but it does pull a little bit more. and its loud. im happy with my purchase. soon ill be getting my xcal II. now i just need to clean up my engine a little bit lol. ****in MI winter.

Hi Guys,
I am looking at a S&B CAI from Blue Oval Industries, they say S&B manufacture most of the OEM for Ford, it also does not require a tune right away. Anyone have any input on these, They Cost around $200, I am thinking about that and a throtle spacer, and also a MAC axleback muffler for my 1st Mods.

06 Torch Red Convert
17" GT takeoff Wheels 235/55
Hope to have some nice pics soon
