Default has anyone done the gt takeoff brake conversion?

If so, what else is needed? I have the calipers and rotors and pads. I thought someone said there may be something else needed.

that should be it.

when i had my v6 i threw oem GT rotors on it without any issues... not sure about you 05+ guys though.

i know i needed calipers/rotors/pads/and brackets when i did my Cobra set up though...

the only thing your missing is the brackets and i am not sure if you need them or not to be honest.

Hey Eric,
Did mine last week, I am sure yours has the brackets............it's a direct swap, put the GT brackets on your calipers and swap rotor.........nothing else needed..unless your original pads are worn, I would use the new pads.....

Cheers!!!

the only things that are dif are the front rotors (larger) and the mounting brackets. they offset the caliper for the larger rotor. the front and rear calipers are the same as the gt.

So, where can I get the mounting brackets? I have the GT front calipers as part of a package deal, but if I do not need them I wont use them. I am pretty sure They did not come with the mounting brackets.

I am 100% sure you have the brackets, depending on where you bought your parts from, Saleen did include the bracket, the bracket looks like a cage your calipers sits in and is marked GT......
I am not for sure but, anybody doing take off brakes, Roush, Saleen they have their own brackets for their brake sets...........the Ford bracket would definintly be a take off part.........so it would come with the take off brakes..............I in the beginning bought the brackets from Ford, but returned them......I went through the bracket thing....................post a photo and I can tell if the bracket is there..........

Cheers!!!

Happy Bunny Day!
