so im getting new tires for my 05 on the stock 16" rims. I would really like to get new rims too but that is not an option right now (says the dad).
so...
i have two questions
1)how wide can i go on the stock 16" rims
2)what is a good tire that both looks and performs well..

I know you have probably considered this, but good T or H rated 16" replacement tires at $120 x 4 = 480, plus tax and mounting/balancing misc etc. = 510=550$.

For $680 delivered, I would go with GT take off 17" bullits with Pirelli Pzero neros from some of the recyclers on this site.....
