Default Tungsten Grey coupes with black hood?

I was thinking of having the hood on my 2006 Tungsten Grey coupe painted black between the two ridges that run down to the grill. I have seen red, orange and yellow cars painted this way but have not seen a Tungsten Grey car painted this way. A local body shop said they would paint the center of the hood and then clear coat the entire hood for $250. I would also like to get the rear spoiler painted black to match the hood. Pictures/thoughts?

Hi,

My car is being painted as we speak. I went with pait instead of stickers because I wanted to continue to wax my entire car. I'm getting a black "boss" hood, ren/black chin spoiler, black out between the taillights and black rear spoiler. My total is $1,100.00 that includes fixing a slight ding and prep of the cdc chin spoiler.

Get that quote in writing and go for it!

I'll post pictures early next week!

Thanks for the encouragement. The black looks great on a red car. I am just not sure how it would look on a Tungsten Grey car. The contrast might not be sharp enough to really stand out. I know the black looks great on the yellow and orange cars I have seen.

Black hood, rally stripes, spoiler, they'll all look good on a Tungsten. The colors blend perfectly. My car is the one in the Baltimore Streetmods add. I just purchased a 2007 hoodscoop, painting in black and slapping it on. Go for it!
