V6 or GT take off Muffler?

RE: V6 or GT take off Muffler?
I just boughta set of takeoffs from Saleen. They were a little higher than the other sites, but cheaper on shipping - it actually cost me less than other sites I priced out... 91 bucks with shipping. Like a previous post said, I could've probably found them cheaper, but I just didn't have time to look any more. Considering what most aftermarket axle-backs are going for, I think that the price-benefit fortakeoffs is hard to beat.
Edit: Oh, and thanks to those of you who posted dyno results - that made the difference for me.

On a Mustang dyno, my 4.0L/auto vert with a single GT muffler dyno'd at 180rwhp. I was told that they had dyno'da bone stock 4.0L/auto at 172rwhp. That's about 8rwhp (+/- for vairable conditions). Others (like scrming) reported a 7rwhp gain with a single GT take-off muffler over stock.
I recently added dual GT take-off mufflers with x-pipe and GT mid-pipe to my 4.0L/5spd coupe. I have a baseline 1/4 mile ET/speed with a single GT take-off muffler, and will soon compare it to the new set-up on the same track. I'm afraid I may have hurt my ET's and speed by adding the duals! I will report back after hitting the track again...

It seems pretty much unanimous that the GT takeoff sounds great but what about horsepower improvement. Are there any gains? Most of the aftermarket mufflers are good for around 10HP,doesthe single GT mufflerget that much improvement?

Looking back upon my runs and talking with others, I am now 100% confident that the duals did not hurt my speed through the traps. The lower speed at Norwalk was the result of track conditions and the driver.Bottom line, adding duals should not affect your ET or speed.

+1 for the gt muffler upgrade. it's cheap and easy to install.it's not to loud or softand if you want to go w/ duals somedayyou'll have one extra lying around.but likeit was mentioned earlier, duals aren't worthanything except for sound purposes until you go F/I.
all aftermarket mufflers including ones fabbed by muffler shops should be giving you a 8 - 12 hp gain on the 4.0. you can't lose.

What do you guys think of this? Is it worth the money and would it be too loud?
