Default V6 or GT take off Muffler?

I am thinking of upgrading my V6 Muffler to a GT, will still be single! is it worth it? Much difference in the sound?

I would say it was worth it to me. Originally put a Flowmaster on but was to loud for me so I went with the GT Takeoff and I'm very happy with the sound. A mellow purr at idle but sounds like a roar when you get on it. Go to You Tube and do a search for mustang muffler sounds

IT's probably the best mod you can do.. especially considering the cost.. and how easy it is to do.
GO FOR IT!

Before I switched to duals, I had a single GT muffler. It will sound better than the original muffler and like someone else said, It's one of the best mods that you can do for cheap!

The GT takeoff muffler will give you a little deeper sound.
It is not much louder than the stock V6 muffler.
Installation is very, very easy. I think it was worth it for the sound difference.
If you are looking to get something that roars, you will probably want to get something different though. The sound will also improve as you get a couple thousand miles on it.

Definately worth the $ to get the GT muffler. I bought both incase I ever want to go with duals. Here's a clip of my V6 with a single GT take-off.

One more comment: the GT mufflers have different part # whether they come from a GT manual, auto or convertible. They will all fit your V6 though.
The only thing I know is that the GT muffler froman auto is not as loud as the one from a manual.
