so i was wondering if any of you know how much the dealer would give you if you wanted to trade in your car. My mustang is a 2006 v6 pony package w/ 10000 Miles, KBB says 20,000 for private sale, can you actually get that by selling it to someone????

lol well it depends you can if you find someone interested. kbb is usually pretty high. your going to get more like 18 or 17 selling it out right because people expect to pay less and thery can't finance through you as easy lol. so a dealership selling it would get maybe 19 or 20 because they offer warranty financing and just that comfort zone some people have. if you trade you could probably get about 16 i know i was offered 14 for mine on trade i have a 2006 base auto with 16k miles. it all depends on which dealer you go so shop around get different quotes.

I hope you do!! As far as trade in at dealer I always try to get somewhere between KBB trade in value and private seller value.
Someone once told me it is only worth what someone is willing to pay you for it when I was trying to sell a house.

that is very true that is why car prices rise and someone paind 250,000$$$$ for the first gt500 lol. he coulda bought 4 if he waited. it depends on if there is demand in your area, if there is a shortage. but now would be best time to sell people wanna buy b4 summer.
