Default Dual exhaust parts question...

Hey all! I'm getting my dual exhaust installed tomorrow, and was wondering if I should let the mechanic fabricate the hanger holders for the driver's side, or should I go to the Ford dealer, and get the GT ones? Is this a part they normally keep in stock at the dealership?

Peace!
Scott

I had mine fabricated........But I knew the people doing the job so I knew I would get mine done right.

Thanks for the input, Eric! My next door neighbor owns a muffler/exhaust shop and has done quite a bit of custom work, so I'll most likely just let him fabricate them for me.

Peace!

The muffler shop may have take-off GT hangers laying around. If the GT boys have modded their exhaust, the shop may still have their originnal hangers. The shop I used for duals had 4 in the back (but I had already gotten mine from Ford). Ask them about it.

As an aside, the shop would NOT cut my bumper due to liability concerns. I cut it myself using a palmed hacksaw blade, followed by a utility knife and finished off with 100-grit sandpaper wrapped around a soda can. Remember - measure twice and cut once
