procharger or xcharger? (v6)

RE: procharger or xcharger? (v6)
procharger
pros
-way more power potential and power the way it comes. (intercooling gives you alot more power +power potential down the road)
-Price for performance increase
Cons
-there have been some issues with ati customer service.
-You have to change the head unit oil.
X-charger
Pros
-Looks
-Responsiveness
-easiest installation of them all
-great customer service
-sealed head unit so you dont change the oil for 100k
Cons
-Power
-Power potential is just not nearly as high as the intercooled setups.
-Price for performance increase
If you are looking for a track monster procharger will get you there easier. The x-charger is no slouch on the track, but don't expect to keep up with the centris or turbos without internal engine work. If you are looking for the street car with occasional trips to the track it's totally preference. Do you need/want the extra power the centri can get you? Do you care how it looks under the hood? want the roots style howl under load? It's all up to you dude. My recomendation- go drive a gt and see if that power, maybe a bit more, is good enough for you. You aren't going to be able to safely get that much more power than a stock/lightly modded gt on the x without engine work. With the centris it's a different story, but hey if the power is good enough for you, maybe the looks are just as important...?

ok. just sounded like he had personal experience with both. i think SeanoStang was hoping for people who have one or the other already installed. i guess i'm curious on which is the safest for the vehicle as some of us are not looking for maximum power but for significant power gains with the least amount of problems (no plans on racing, just fun on the streets).
