Default Roush paint help.

Here is my question................I just got a brand new roush hood scoop.................Well I have 12' yellow stripes going all the way from the back to the front. I already have vinyl stripes going on the hood scoop and I was thinking..........theres only going to be a 2 inch black stripe in between the yellow vinly stripes on the hood scoop.........SO......i dont want to have to pay alot to have the whole thing painted................SO can I just spray paint the hood scoop black..........and what would I all need for this? I am saying this because there wll only be that little black inbetween the stripes on the hood scoop ...............so can anyone give me any tips on doing this and what I would all need to get it really close to the same black color on the rest of the car? thanks.

Hi, I just did a Roush scoop. If your already preaty good with spray cans you should be able to do it. Sand paper 220/320/600, Plastic prep clean, plastic adhesive promotor, flex primer paint, base color coat, clear coat. Use plastic prep clean right off to remove the mold release agent. Sand scoop and edges real good. Remove all shiny areas on plastic. Go to a auto paint store and get quality paint. They can make it for you special into aerosol cans. Then get the color code you want & clear. Paint in a dust free area on a 70 degree day or paint will run to easy. Good Luck.
