any weird sounds after Diablo Sport Tune install?

if you are hearing a ping, it is because you are probably running a higher octane tune and using 87
it is bad, if you dont fill with a higher octane or detune the car you will break the motor

I believe that on newer motors, with all of the electronics, controls, as well as the fact that the tune isnt even on at idle, you will not actually hear detonation if you have it. but rather the engine will pull timing and you will experience loss in power.
but u can try turning ur timing back a few degrees and see if that helps.

You can hear it.
I had a similar problem when running a 93 octane tune. I now run the 91 octane tune with 93 and it has gone away for the most part.
It is running very strong.. but I noticed it "knocking" again when I floored it to pass a truck on the highway.. I looked down and noticed I was going 115... thought "holy crap" and slowed down...
I figure I will not be doing that again... if it only knocks at 115.. then I'm ok..
This was the first highway trip I have taken with the higher octane tune... and was really happy with the top end. The CAI/tune combo makes these cars feel like they could just keep going. It's nice to know you can cruse at 80 and the car has a lot more waiting for you if you need it to pass.

A) buy a tune that is specific for the MMR
B) Get a custom dyno tune...
