Default rear wheels

i have 17 inch bullitts on my car and i wanted to get deep dish in the back. would it be a good idea to get 18 inch in the back and keep the 17s in the front? i know it will look good but will there be any adverse effects?

I've been thinking about doing that too.

Only detriments would be:

1.) Finding the same tire in 2 different sizes.
2.) Not being able for 4 wheel rotation.

I went with a similar set up for my drag radials, but kept everything 17's -

I kept the 17" stock Bullitts (17x8") up front with the P-Zeros, and mounted the 28" diameter M&H Racemaster 275/50-17 drag radials on 17x9" replica Bullitts from American Muscle. The new rims are a close match to the factory Bullitts, but not an exact match (close enough for me, and I'm picky). Another choice for a tall tire would be the NT450's from Nitto. I went with a tall tire cuz I have 4.10's, and I LOVE the muscle car look with the beefy tires out back.

it will screw with your abs/traction control system since the front and rear wheels won't be turning at the same speed. the smaller wheels on front will be turning much faster than the rear and may cause unwanted abs activation if your car is equipped.

Although that may be true, I have yet to encounter any probs with my ABS/TCS system using the staggered tires. But I used the handheld tuner to adjust the tire revolutions per mile, which may change the ABS/TCS parameters to negate any ill effects of the larger diameter rear tires.

I won't have to worry.

Don't have ABS or TC.

Old school all the way.
