RE: 250HP
maybe i shoulda stuck with my GM... jk.
you sure ford doesn't sell them? i mean, they use the engine for multiple apps right? so it would only make sense that they'd have some blanks in case they needed to grind a new set.. or, you know... they wasted money and just made a bunch of precut cams... i almost forgot that ford is still screwing itself

RE: 250HP
eh its not that uncommon that they don't release the blanks for quite a while. they do use the 4.0 for multiple apps but i beleive they all use the same cam, so i really see no reason for them to release blanks. Blanks would be nice, but regrinds are all we got right now.

RE: 250HP
first off, are you looking for a 250 at the fly, or 250 to the ground?
250 at the fly is pretty easy. a good intake+exhaust+tune should get you there no problem.
250 to the groud is a different issue. 250 to the groud is just a bit below the GT baseline. to get there, you can either do a bunch of engine work, or get a light supercharger. there is only one guy who will be running a SSM longblock N/A, he does not have it in yet. nobody really knows what to expect. I would assume he would hit around what you are looking for. However, as I said, we can't be too sure. If you get the supercharger, you will get above 250rwhp, unless you change out the supercharger pulley to give less power. The non-intercooled vortech or CARB x-charger should give you around 260-280rwhp.
I was having the same issue as you, I wanted a 6er with some good respectable power, but nothing too crazy. I went with the 6psi Vortech system, and I am really happy with it. However, if there was a good kit that could give me 270rwhp N/A I may have gone with it

RE: 250HP
true but boss is nowhere near 250rwhp. He knows what he is doing at the track/mods for the track. Good suspension/traction mods along with some good power mods makes for a quick car, but i am betting he is running 210ish rwhp at best considering he is an auto. He is just putting that power to the ground VERY well.
