magnaflow vs flowmaster
I am wanting to put exhaust on my car. It's an 05 v6 and i was wondering which would sound better, to put on flowmasters or magnaflows. Also i was wondering if it would sound anybetter to get two mufflers put on or just go w/ one muffler and a kit. If anyone has sound clips of a v6 i would appreciate it. Thanks

RE: magnaflow vs flowmaster
I have a single Flowmaster American Thunder -- it has several miles on it so is broken in on this clip
Edit -- let's try this link, for some reason it doesn't seem to be posting to take you to the clip on the first posting:

RE: magnaflow vs flowmaster
In my opinion, the magnaflows sound kind of empty and soft, not really muscular or mean at all.
I went with a single Flowmaster AT axleback, and I'm very happy with it. It's got a nice low rumble at idle, and makes a lot of noise when you walk on it. It does pop a bit, but I think that gives it kind of a raw, nasty sound, which fits the image of a Mustang perfectly.
Magnaflows just don't do it for me. They still make noise, but not as much as the Flowmaster. Magnaflows are basically just for soccer-moms and old people with sensitive hearing (you know, the same ones who complain about loud music and the "damn kids" all the time.) Magnaflows will still be louder than stock, but really nothing impressive.
Between those two, I would definitely (and did, as it turns out) go Flowmaster.
As for duals vs. singles: Duals always sound better, but they're more expensive, so there's your trade-off. I'm definitely gonna ditch the single pipe and go with duals in the near future to get a little more volume out of my Mustang.
