RE: CAI question (best w/o tune?)
hmmm that's pretty cool vmp only charges 50 bucks for a tune. I think i'll get a 93 tune from them when my TI/Xcal package gets here. That'll only total 529 and that's shipped. pretty good deal all together imo.

RE: CAI question (best w/o tune?)
You were right in what you said before, how most people will only use one tune, that's why i didn't order from b-ama or brenspeed or anything. I don't need 3 GREAT tunes. I need one. has anyone done mail-order tunes from vmp? I haven't heard of anyone yet who has. Justin is a GREAT tuner though, so i would expect great things from them.

RE: CAI question (best w/o tune?)
for us sixers i suggest either b-ama's 93 race tune, from what i've researched.people who had both b-ama and brenspeed like b-ama better... oryou couldget one ofjustin's tunes. justin's a v6 guru and you can't go wrong with his tunes. he knows his stuff and sixers are his forte.

RE: CAI question (best w/o tune?)
Well i am not sure what you mean by go through with the tune, but basically what will happen is you will have to buy a flash tuner with the intake. SCT xcal 2 is the most common. You order it with tunes from your choice of dealer, or you can get a dyno tune. This flash tuner plugs into your obd II port which i think is on the left side of our steering wheel under the dash...? It basically changes your engine computers parameters to make more power.

RE: CAI question (best w/o tune?)
if you can use a computer to post on this forum, then you should be pretty well qualified to install a flash tune. not difficult. load the tuner device up with your custom tunes on a PC (other than the ones already preinstalled by the factory) and plug the thing into your car and follow the on screen directions. so easy a caveman can do it.[8D]

RE: CAI question (best w/o tune?)
I just ordered a CAI, muffler and Tuner from VMP. I will let you know about the tunes as soon as it comes in.
