guys with CAI and tune
i'm going to get the C&L CAI with the xcal2 from brenspeed. i wanted to know if i should keep it at 87 or 91. i ask because i'm always barely getting by with the cost of gas. 50 bucks a week using 87. if i do 91, will the MPG i gain offset the cost difference?
any help greatly appreciated!

RE: guys with CAI and tune
I have a GT, and my combined mileage with stock intake & tune was always 19mpg. Now with my C&L and the canned 91 octane tune on my Diablo tuner I'm getting 21-22mpg.
If you're ordering from Brenspeed or B@m@chips you can probably get both an 87 and 91 tune.

It only costs like $3 more to fill up with 91+. $3.59 for regular around me in Detroit, MI. The price difference between regular and premium has always been like 20-25 cents, even when gas was only $1.15/gal. I'm not spending any more now then I did then filling up with premium.

And they don't answer emails. Poor customer service in this day and age. If you offer a product over the internet... and have a "Contact Us" button.. they should answer email.
To answer your question.. if gas prices are putting you over the edge, spending money on modding your car may not be the best thing to do right now.. but that's an opinion you didn't ask for.
I get about 1-2 mpg better mileage with a 91 octane tune running 93 octane.
Brenspeed customer service is top notch.. go with them.

To answer your question, it has little to do with Doug's company not being a MF sponsor - there are lots of companies who are not MF sponsors, yet their name isn't filtered. The word "B*AMA" is filtered to prevent their website from being SPAMMED here @ MF. It was a business decision, and has nothing to do with censorship. If Doug wants to remedy the situation, he should contact a Mod or Admin here to get things resolved (which he MUST know by now). 'Til that happens, their name remains filtered to block their website from being SPAMMED.

If you are worried about cost...i'd go with vmp. Justin is one of the top dogs when it comes to v6 mustangs, and he wont steer you wrong. Plus it's 50 bucks a pop instead of 75. That's what im gonna do when my xcal/TI comes
