Without a power adder, it won't help and may actually hurt performance some. In addition, the larger throttle body is very finicky and requires that you match the stock voltage precisely when mounting it or the car computer will error out and put you in limp mode. When I am out of boost my 70mm throttle body & spacer actually reduces low end torque and makes the car run fairly poorly at low speed like it had been cammed (air is being fed into the engine at a reduced velocity).
If you don't have a power adder, I would strongly recommend against it. You can spend your money on other bolt-ons that will have much greater effect. Even with a power adder, there are other easier bolt-ons that should be done first (headers, exhaust, etc.).

That will be the biggest waste of money. A guy came in to the shop with his gto that had a throttle body spacer. Took it off and gained 20hp.... IMO spend money somewhere else.

How much are you looking to spend and what mods do you have now?

cut me a check for $100, it will go farther then a TB and spacer

try UD pullies if you dont plan on supercharging in the future, or a short throw shifter

From what I've gathered so far throttle body spacers are completely useless, and larger throttle bodies are only usefull when you have FI.
