Default Door panel molding

My V6 has that lame molding on the door panels on the outside, anyone have any advice for removing it? Is it complicated, leave a sticky residue, etc?

For reference, this was my stang from the dealer, I'm referring to those little molding pieces on the side of the door. I hear they are commonly put on rental cars but I don't want em there and did all the searching I could and didn't find any good info on if theyre safe to take off or what. Any help appreciated

Yeah, that would be the so called "renters stripe" . It's removable and although I never had one on mine it is safe to remove. There will just be a little adhesive on the door for you to wipe away with a warm cloth (don't use anything really rough as it will scratch the paint)

peels right off ...I just did mine it left a tiny bit of residue and it wipes off with some water. Easiest thing in the world and it looks soooooo much better with it off....good luck

I just took it off, along with that Mustang sticker thing on the bottom, and the car looks a LOT better now if you ask me.

Appreciate it guys.
