Default Thinking about getting rid of the pony

yea u heard it right. in the past 2 years i have had the engine and the transmission replaced. the engine was covered by the warrenty, but the tranny on the other hand had to come out of pocket. and not she is in the shop again, pinging on my driver's side cylinder bank.i think i'm gonna get me a bowtie and not worry about it any more.

That's a real bummer! Being a 2005 it should still be covered unless you have more than 36,000 miles. Was there anything that has caused these problems? Such as blower or nitrous? Or did you just have the bad luck to get a lemon? How did the trans go bad?

Forgot to add that I was at Ft Hood 40 years ago before I was sent to Viet Nam.

it has 28,800 on the tach. ans all i have on it is an S&B intake, Jba shorties, Eiback Sportline springs, and a single flowmaster AT. and the bad thing is i refinanced the car cuz we needed some extra money for the house and living expenses cuz my BAH hasnt hit yeat and it's been almost 4 MONTHS!!so instead of oweing $13K on it, i owe something lik $21K. thsi car has been nothing but problems, i would have gotten rid of it sooner if i wasnt deployed most of the time. so yea i feel at a big loss.

the shift linkage broke and the car was stuck in 4th gear, and when tht happendthe gears in the gearbox began to rip themselves apart. needless to say tht clutch and the flywheel were toast. and they way it broke was my fault, well not entirely, but the damn car didnt want to get out of 3rd when i was trying to shift, so i gave it a lil bit more inncentive to move, and in tht process it broke, and tht cost me $1,600. and i was on my way to the austin airport to catch my flight to phoenix. so yea. ford will do anything to make a buck, cheap *** parts, i swear
