Default Questions on K&N Cold Air Intake on a V6

Does anyone have the K&N Tyhoon Cold Air intake (part number 69-3522TP)? I am looking at buying one of these at a very good price but i have questions. First of all, im not looking for neck breaking power, just a little extra acceleration gain. K&N claims 7hp at the rear wheels on this kit, and i think that would satisfy me.

My biggest question is does anyone know if this would require a tune? I have read in other forums that this paticular kit does not. Can anyone confirm that?
Im hoping someone here has this setup and can can give me their opinion on the kit. Do you like or dislike it?

This would be my first cold air intake so any advice anyone could lend me, or any facts that i might need to know would be greatly appreciated.

I have the other K and N intake kit for the '06 V6 and it does NOT require a tune (part 63-2566). As far as I know the typhoon kit doesnt require a tune either.

wait...you shaved off .2 of a second by just using the K&N filter and canned tune???

i'm getting the C&L CAI and tune from brenspeed, so that would shave off a bit a more right? i'm a stick too.
