It was the pinion bearings and they wanted 475.00 to fix it so i ordered an 8.8 from paulboy and i will be installing it next week.

Good to hear you will be back up and rolling shortly. Have you decided on 3.73's or 3.90's?

Pretty much what I was thinking... Not the first car I know of that's lost the pinion bearings... Now here's the scary part... I believe the 8.8 uses the same pinion bearings as the 7.5! YIKES!

I am sticking with the 3.73's. I know they both use the same pinion bearings but i am hoping that the 8.8 lasts longer this time and i know later on i can build it up better than the 7.5. I just didn't want to waste more money on that rear end knowing i am going to have more problems down the line.
I ain't done yet, i need to see 12's out of a vert then i might back off for awhile but this is to addicting.
