Locker install in a 7.5" rear end??
How many spline is the 7.5" axle?
And can this be used?
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku
My friends have installed lock-right lockers in their jeeps and trucks before with no issues whatsoever, even on the street.
So my question is..
Will this particular locker work with the 05-07 V6 mustang's 7.5" rear?
Instead of getting the ford t-lok for $199.99 and paying for labor and preload, backlashing set up on that.
This is a direct drop in with common hand tools, no r&p set up at all.
And this is a locking diff, so one leggers are a thing of the past.
Any ideas? comments, suggestions?
Thanks!

The benefit of a powertrax lock-rite over a t-lok or Detriot true-track is that it doesnt require a gear set up to install it.
It just drops in with Basic hand tools and provides the same results as the t-lok and true-track.
No need to take it to a specialty shop where they need to set up the preload and backlash.
Those are unaffected and the installation only take a little while.
They can definitely handle the power a V6 mustang will generate if they are holding up to Jeeps with 4:1 transfer cases, 5.14 gears and 35" tires.
It is made by Richmond gear, or at least powertrax was bought out by Richmond gear.
I sent them an email asking to make sure the model they offer is compatible.
7.5" ring gear with 28 spline axles. They have it listed from 1979 to 2000. Nothing listed for later than 2000 in a 7.5" rear.
And Scrming,
I saw your little feature in the mustang mag.
Nice job!! I was psyched reading about a car I've seen a lot on these forums.
