The car is an '07 v6 Premium with the pony package, and is brand new

-There was a gouge in the bumper I noticed after driving it to the restaurant 3 miles away (15 miles on the odometer).

-There is no "mustang" emblem on the floormats

most importantly,

-It has stalled twice while idling. I was driving around a small lake, and passed a car in second gear. I put the clutch in, and while I was turning, I noticed the effort required to turn was enormous. The car had died!

For #1 The dealer has agreed to fix the gouge. I haven't told them about the wrong floormats, because I'm not sure they're wrong. They're plain black. Aren't they supposed to have emblems? Should I be concerned about the car stalling? I DID NOT kill it, was running great, and died after I put the clutch in. What would you experts do?

In '06 the Pony Package floor mats have the brushed chrome "MUSTANG" insert on them, - - I don't know if that was dropped on the '07 though.
Do you have the brushed chrome door sills with "MUSTANG" on them? That was on my '06 Pony as well.

No, the doorsills are plastic. The sticker does say floormats mustang logo.

Have you had any stalling problems?

Just picked up my Pony last week, no stalling but the Pony Package does have the "Mustang" on the mats and sill [:@]

If the sticker says mustang floormats, you get the floormats.. Take it back.

07 Pony has aluminum doorsills that say Mustang, and so do the floormats. It should also have the 17 inch wheels, Pony spoiler, and running horse emblem on the front fenders.

Edit: Almost forgot the fog lamps in the grill. Something doesn't sound right with what you described, and I'd have things documented before going back to the dealer -at the very least it appears thatthey swapped out stuff.

i bet them shady salesmen swapped the logo floormats that came with your car with another model just to butter up some other customers and make a sale. as for you stalling issue. TAKE IT BACK! don't let ford get away with inferior quality! the only way they will clean up their act is to let them know how many problems we are having. then hopefully ford will earn some lost respect. i own two fords (my stang and a '98 ranger) and i'm very proud of them. my ranger has been holding up like a champ but i have had some computer issues with my stang. i still love the thing but its dissapointing to know that there are so many others with issues on a new car.

Check your window sticker, make sure it matches with what you have. And while you're at it, check for every thing on the list to make sure you have them. The following isa typical list of items included in the 07 Pony Packgae deal:

I'm starting to get worried...

Are you sure the door sills are supposed to be aluminum? Mine are black plastic and and have "Mustang" on them. Could the aluminum be part of the other interior package (my color) that I don't have?

looks like you got bamboozled. let the dealership know ASAP! as for your black door sills. maybe the 07's are black. my 06 has silver/aluminum sills. ask the dealer on that one.
