Question about my new exhaust...

RE: Question about my new exhaust...
The connection for the second exhaust was cobbled and
it is not split properly. The hole "they" cut and welded the
other outlet to is probably the stock Y pipe and its is
not flowing properly. The factory H pipes and aftermarket
X pipes are machine cut and welded for proper equal flow.
You got cobbled, my man. The only way to find out is
to do a destructive testing and remove the Y pipe and
cut it apart to see how it was put togetherby those
muffler guys. Did they see you coming?

because i think what they did was after i bought the v6 kit and had it put on and decided to go with duels they just got the left side from a gt kit and switched the tip on the right side from 3.5 to 4 in.

RE: Question about my new exhaust...
so what should i do? i looked at the numbers on the actual mufflers and the left one is a super 40 and the right one is the one for the v6 kit, i cant tell the difference in sound standing behind the car or from the inside and it sounds great... should i just stick with it?

RE: Question about my new exhaust...
I have the same problem, I ordered 2 flowmaster super 40's and I got them installed 2 days ago. Since, i have been flowering them and speeding like hell to break them in and today after i took it for a spin, i notice that my right side exhaust is super hat and the ledt side is not as hot, but both mufflers push out the same amount of air. Now thats a puzzler for ya!

RE: Question about my new exhaust...
Flowering them?? I have heard of deflowering.
Anyway, I believe it is the hot/cold cycles that do more breakin than just driving fast with them. My new exhasut took a couple days to settle in to the tone it has now. It was about 30 miles and 10-15 hot/cold cycles.
