Default 3-D Carbon hood scoop

So, I have a 3-D carbon hood scoop "factory painted" installed on my hood, had it for about 6 months or so. Today I was washng the car and noticed that on the very front edge there was a white mark, thinking it was wax i took a rag and tryed to get it off. When I did the paint started to come off as if if wasn't adhering properly. Now it's just a tiny spot but of course I'm worried that it will continue.
Anyone had this problem and what did you do. Thanks

I haven't had a problem either and the scoop always looked great this just started today. Mine is tungsten grey. I just e-mailed 3-D too see what they will do. I will keep you guys posted.

It could be that the scoop got hit with a tiny piece of debris (a small rock, a bug) and the paint broke as a result. My car has a few such specs on the front bumper and on the front of the hood. I guess if the paint was fresh it might have a tendency to "tear" more easily than that of the paint on the car. Just a guess...

That thought crosses my mind too but the mark started as a long (about 1 inch)line along the top front edgeand when I went to rub it of the paint failed at one small spot of that line.
I live in San Diego this car has never seen rain, snow, ice, has 4000 miles on it and spends most of it's time garaged.
If my scopp has this issue I wonder what it would look like if it was a daily driver in say ...Chicago
