Which Tunes?

Which Tunes?
I'm bout to purchase some tunes from bamma 2nite but was wondering if its worth buying the 3pack or should i just get the 91 race tune since that seems to be the overwhelming favorite here on the forums (i'm in Cali and 91 is the highest at the pumps). Also, how does the torq tune feel and is it worth purchasing also?
*in case some of you remember, i was going to purchase a C&L then get tunes but there was a post from another member who got his stang dynoed with a brute force and had very impressive gains without a tune and just a GT take-off muffler. i know C&L has the most potential but don't think i will get much more than my AEM is providing me that is worth dropping $280+. just trying to be logical and save money for other things.

RE: Which Tunes?
sancho, in my opinion, i would go with the three pack. I can personally tell a big difference between the three tunes i have, 87 perf, 91 race, 91 torque. 87 is pretty good, and is great for longer trips and gas mileage. The 91 tunes are way more aggressive than the 87. The 91 torque runs strong in the low rpms, but seems to weaken out in the higher rpms. The 91 race tune runs pretty solid throughout the rpm band and is strong overall. I haven't been to the track or dyno, but my fav. tunes are definitely the two 91 tunes. I like having the ability to change which tune i am using, however, you may feel differently. I guess its up to you..lol...sorry i couldn't be anymore help.

RE: Which Tunes?
Get a mileage tune for one of your tunes. I have an 87 mileage tune from VMPtuning along with his $99.00 intake special & a single Magnaflow axel-backand got 29.1 mpg(406 miles on 13.953 gals.)on a recent trip. He makes a mileage tune for any octane gas. His 93 performance tune kicks ***. My car is an auto trans. and now runs like a Mustang should. Have fun with what ever you get.

RE: Which Tunes?
i would have no problem going with VMP but i have a diablo tuner and justin doesn't work with them. doug is the only one that i know of that works with both SCT and Diablo.

RE: Which Tunes?
will doug@bamma upgrade/revise my tunes if i decide to purchase a C&L intake later or will i have to buy new tunes all over again for the new intake. i know this is a question for doug but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. i still would love to get a C&L in the near future but not enough cash at the time.

I agree w/ hataap. Buy all 3. He is right IMO. There is a dramatic difference in Doug's tunes. I had the Perfomance 87, 91, and 93. I have since gotton rid of the performance 91 tune so I could add the 93 Race tune. ( its the one I am running now b/c we took it to the track this weekend) I have been VERY happy with Doug and his Tunes. He has great customer service and he will get back with you.
