Default GT take off sway bars

Just wanted to post a note about the installation of the GT take off sway bars. First, definatly buy the Ford OEM nuts and bolts from the web site recommended in other posts. It makes the install much easier with the cilp bolts and it only cost approx. $32 including shipping. I would also recommend buying a 15mm deep wall socket to tighten the nuts on the brackets both front and rear. I also had to use a washer to take up the space between the body mounts and the sway bar arms for the rear sway bar. The entier installation took approx. 2 hrs from start to finish and I did need to jack up both the front and rear of the car but only because I couldn't get under the car far enough to reach the mounting points. I will try and post some pictures of the install in the near future. As for an easy and cheap mod, it was well worthit. Definatly improves handling!

+1 on using the clip bolts, the rear install was really easy. I was able to do it without jacking up rear end and it took about 25 minutes.

pony package has gt front and rear swaybars
Pony packages DO NOT have GT front and rear sways.
Ponies have 18mm rear and 31.5mm front OEM.
GTs have 20mm rear and 34mm front OEM.
Its worth it to get the GT sways and replace
the smaller pony stuff and get poly bushings as well.
Where did you get your info nonstopred?
I have crawled up under about500 different
stangs from when they were introduced in 05
and haveNEVER seen GT sways on a pony.
Different part #s and all. Workshop manual
backs me up on this one.

Where do I get poly bushings?
MossMustang.
Prothane brand.
They are cheap and were on sale.
They show different sizes so know
which sway bar you want them for.
Replaced them up front and in the
rear on the sways and did the track
bar while I had it off for spring installation.
