mine is bored 30k over to account for the wiseco forged 8.8-1 pistons, finall cc equaled 4.052 (approximately) not 4.2,

Tom morano i sno longer workin gon the 4.5 they decided not to go with it. I believe rygens built block is a 4.1 also. Not sure

to increase the displacement u need a longer stroke, just boring it out isnt going to help much. and when u put the new oversized pistons in, u have to make sure they are very snug in the cylinders or ur going to get some very loud and annoying piston slap.

just to let ya know man, I wouldnt post comments like this. Only shows what little you know about building a engine. I build engines for a living and it kills me because ppl think if they can replace parts they are a mechanic and can do anything.

I always wondered bout this for the 4.0's. I know the GT's you can get a big bore stroker kit for about 2,500 to increase displacemnt to 5.2L.
