Im not sure bout the bell housing but If i were wanting to push all those horses I would definately go with a T6. They are in the shelby's but thats also bolted onto a 5.4L. Any good mahine shop should be able to fab a adapter plate for the 4.0L flywheel housing.

You can always go with the Level 10 Performance's 5R55Stranny, it will run you about 3-4 grand. Their located in NJ 973-827-1000, ask for Mike! (Bullit Proof Tranny)

i blew the stock t5 trans with 410rwhp and 462rwtq actually.

the 3rd pass down the track with those power levels, and it was gone. it previously went like 8 runs on the 371rwhp/402rwtq power levels. oh, and i POWER SHIFT bigtime lol

my current transmission is good for at least 600rwhp per the trans shop. the only stock piece in it is the input shaft, which will likely be swapped out for a 26spline in the near future. all the internals were cryo'ed (if possible) and the sliders were replaced with custom metal ones (stock ones are plastic lol). all the synchros were also custom made. dont ask how much lol, i paid way way way way too little for this transmission.

no such thing as a t6 transmission. there are t56's and tr6060's (in the gt500) neither of which will bolt up to the 4.0, without a custom bellhousing, driveshaft, crossmember, input shaft, etc.

the only person i know of with one, ended up spending about 10 grand on his, not 3-4. included the stall converter, and deep dish pan.
