Default MPG Results...

just got back from my weekend trip up to the bay area from long beach to watch my Raiders lose a heartbreaker [:@]. nothing new [&:].....anyways, i kept track of my mileage using Bamma's 87 perf tune and i guess it was alright. on my way to the bay, i averaged about 73 mph and got an unimpressive 25.1 mpg. on my way back home, i lowered my average speed to 65mph and gained almost 3mpg to finish at 27.9mpg. not sure how accurate the car's calculator is but it seemed right to me. don't think that the 91 torq or race would be any better but i will use one of them the next long trip i go on to find out for myself. i guess the cheaper 87 gas was the only thing that made the 87 perf tune worth using for me. anybody got info on the mpg of other tunes?

28 on an auto is quite good, the epa estimate is only 26 so you beat it by 2 mpg.

28mpg @ 65mph is good but not easy to do. kinda felt like a grandma driving that speed on an open highway. 75mph is more realistic and i got a little over 25mpg at best with that speed so it wasnt great but it wasnt like i expected anything great anyways. overall, good tune if you plan on sticking with 87 and saving a little money at the pump.

I've done several round trips from Portland to Seattle with my speed mostly in that 65 to 75mph range and getting 29mpg is the norm but I have hit the 30mpg twice but thats running premium with a 93 tune.

I regularly run an averge MPG of 17-18 MPG with my regular driving, but the other night I headed up to a friend's up the highway (I filled up 1/2 a mile from the highway entrance and he lives 1.5 miles from his exit) so I had an opportunity to put her to a test. At about 80 mph, using cruise control, I got up to 27.5 MPG gas station to his front door. If figure that's not too bad considering I am stock and in a convertible. I sure wish she ran a little more efficiently in the stop-and-go daily grind, but not bad for a V6.

I was thinking of getting an Airaid Cold Air Intake and later a different exhaust - any thoughts, experiences, opinions on how that might help with fuel efficiency and power?

I get 23.5 regardless of hwy or city and the ac makes no difference -07 5 speed It really surprises me. I could get 35 out of my 2004 on the hwy with no ac
