Dennis,
How bout a custom emblem that says "SC245". that would flip people's wigs when they read it. other mustang owners will be like, "where did he get that car!?, i wish i had one!" .....[8D]

www.superchargersonline.com is where u can fine the non-intercooled vortech kit for $3,250. If I were u Dennis, I'd go the vortech kit w/o intercooler and get an 8, 9 or 10psi pulley. The 9psi on a set-up with just a hi-flow muffler has dyno'd 270rwhp(320-330hp crank) w/o muffler probably 305-320hp crank, which is the cheapest way u'll be able to see that power. The cheap x-charger can't make that but the $4k x-charger may be close tothe 10psi(about 280-285rwhp/335-345hp crank)pulley non-ic vortech w/an aftermarket muffler. The aftermarket pulley's r only $80 from vortech's site and all u need is someone toswitch it withthe stock 5/6psi pulley. U won't need gears, but they'll help w/acceleration. A t-lok u'll need so u don't spin urone tire everywhere u go, and theonlyother part I'd suggest u need is aftermarket rear lower control arms which will probably run $300-$400 installed and help a lot with traction. Good luck on whatever u choose!

The only thing about that Vortech is that it does not actually run at 8psi. That is the kit I got, and it ran at about 5psi. If you want to actually get around 8, get a 3.40 pulley from Vortech, it put me at 8.6psi
Also, for the install, it is pretty quick. Should be around 6hrs for a professional. The website says 8-10, but that is for the aftercooled kit.
Yeah, pretty much that kit is pure sex...

chrisc, where did you get the cool engine cover with vortech emblem? I need that set up for my car. It really dresses the engine compartment up! Also I have the same vortech set up as you and I thought that I was getting 8 psi as shown in their ad. SO it really is closer to 5 psi? I guess I'll have to upgrade to the smaller pulley!

I have the PH Turbo kit on my car, I'm very happy with it. Also, forced4 is looking for some 4.0 V6 auto cars. They are offering it at an intro price for the first 5 auto cars. Gotta love the TQ on the turbos.

RE: Supercharging this b!tch
thanks guys.
My dads into cars too (more classic like 40's and 50's) and we usually work on the car together (we had to fix the exhaust, replaced the filter on my CAI, painted my calipers, pretty much anything we can do to get out there and jack the car up, or pop the hood) So after telling him that Im going to get a supercharger he and my mom are willing to buy it for me for christmas (I still get big gifts from them).
So it looks like I'll be getting it in a couple of months.
Im going with the non intercooled vortech w/ 5psi boost.
Did the dealership have anything to say about the supercharger?
