What up everybody, I just joined the forum. I have a 1999(V6)Mustang, and just had glass packs put on it. Believe it or not, it sounds pretty good. Of course it doesn't sound like a V8, but it gives off a nice rumble. I'm new to upgrading my car, and I'm not a mechanic at all. But the first thing I did was had an Cold air intake installed (BBK) and Headers (BBK). This is why I think the glass packs sounds better than I thought, but I may be wrong. Like I said, I'm no where near a mechanic, but I am satisfied of how the glass packs came out on my V6.

I know this is an old topic, but I'm new to the site 
On my old 04 Six shooter I had two magnapacks (glasspacks) installed and dumped the tail pipes mid way so I didn't have anything sticking out of the back, and I must say they sounded NICE, especially for a six. It didn't sound ricey at all, just really 'beefy'. At lower rpm's they sounded great. People who didn't know better thought I had an 8, but at higher rpms you could diffenantly tell she was a six. I bought my new baby about three weeks ago, and I can't wait to get some magnapacks installed. I'm not really that fond of the 'Cherry Bomb' brand...they're just a little too big and quiet for my taste..

I too love the magnapacks and really have no other option right now for my exhaust because it is side exit and needs to be very low profile (which they are). Here is a pic

i installed a "glasspack" in my midpipe and fabricated baffled stainless steel tailpipes. its a very deep and clean sound that has a moderately loud interior sound level with the windows up. i really like it and it makes it more tollerable on trips versus the straight pipe i had last year.
