Definitely a CAI/Tuner. I'd also look at a take off muffler and some lower control arms.

CAI, tune, GT takeoff muffler. I'm not sure how much limited slip and gears would cost, but I'm pretty sure it would be over $1000 alone.

To start off, I also recommend a CAI, tune, and muffler(s). VMP has a nice combo deal on all three, while Evolution has a combo on the CAI & tuner (both are sponsors here). That should be under $600, so you'll have $400 more to spend or put in savings for a more expensive mod later. LCA's are a good choice too. If you are a stick, I recommend the tubular k-brace and torque limiters for about $175. My car shifts so much better now, I may keep the stock shifter.

Regarding gears and LSD, the cost should be well under $1000. I paid $350 for labor, which is about in the upper-average price range. I bought my parts 2nd hand for $250 (4.10's and t-loc), but they aren't too bad price-wise new from various vendors.

Ok here is a noob question and my weak points. What improvements do LCA's provide? I am not familiar with suspension/handling.

CAI/Tune-$550, Get a gt-takeoff muffler for $100 or less, Gears and T-lok installed will run u around $750-$850 so that's out of the ?. Shorty headers will run $450-$500 installed and give u some gains while making ur exhaust louder and deeper. An aluminum driveshaft from shaftmasters is $400 and installed for $50 and will give u some gains and allow u to drive at highway mph's w/o the car shaking. Like Rygen said, u should get rear lower control arms if ur not gonna get a t-lok w/ or w/o gears soon, b/c that 1 tire will be spinning after the cai/tune. I think u can get them bought and installed for $200-$300. Good Luck!
