It is, when u choose ur options and everything, one will say traction control. Go in and then it has 2 options: Normal and Off. Choose off if u want it off.

The only buttons I have there are the hazzard lights, and passanger air bag
No anti-lock brakes = no traction control .... they go together as a package. You will also notice you don't have a big junction box feeding all the brake lines near you air cleaner housing.

I've got it on mine. Does anyone know if there is a way to permanently disable it, so that I don't have to keep shutting it off?
just one thought, why would you pay extra for traction control when now you want t/c permanently off? [&:]

It was part of the Pony Package for a while. And if you wanted anti-lock brakes on your V6 then you have to get T/C as well ...

...and IMO ford should put ABS in these cars standard. It is a necessary option.

Traction control was just part of a larger option package. It just happened to be on the car. I didn't pay more to get it.

Traction control saved me and my car today after some car cut me off taking a left hand turn, leaving me 60 feet to break to a stop if I didn't swerve.

Agreed. I've had nothing but headaches with it on other cars. It seems to lock up and give me less control than if I didn't have it.

There use to be an electric module you could install that would remember the TCS position, this would keep the TCS "OFF" even if you shut off your car.
