Do the GT 8.8 rear assemblies fit on the V6?
I've currently got an Automatic '08 V6, with stock rear gears and housing.
Will the GT 8.8 assembly fit on the 6'rs? If so, where could I pick up the rear, and gears from one source? Would it be better to just drop the cash for an 8.8 and 3.73's, or just get the 3.73's for the stock rear?
EDIT: I just read in the thread below that I can pick up the rear from the takeoff site. Either way, would this be the way to go in order to extend the life of the drivetrain? I'm in outside sales, so I put on about 2,000 miles per month, I will be getting a supercharge once the X Charger releases the intercooler and I want to strengthen all areas I can.

RE: Do the GT 8.8 rear assemblies fit on the V6?
If you replace the whole rear axle, like it seems you might be planning on, then yes it will fit. You will need a flange to connect your driveshaft to the 8.8. be sure to get one if/when you buy your 8.8
Will the 7.5 hold up? Yeah, the 7.5 will do just fine if you boost your engine. you may want to consider a change if you plan to go to the track alot.
