SteelStang05 Master of Supra Tech Advice
Dude! My way's the non bit*h way of doing burnouts. Your way is the way of people that either do a millions of burnouts, or would rather spend $200+ on line lock kits and be extremely safe. People do burnouts all the time at the track w/out line lock kits. And if your only doing burnouts like once every 2 weeks or so, your brakes will be fine and your tires will end up losing maybe a couple thousand miles if you keep them under 15sec. I've done lots of burnouts w/o anyill side effects. Have you done any burnouts 157db?
I have never felt the need to do any burnouts. The ill effects of your "burnouts"
will be felt in the future. Poor Mustang. Be patient, it will all be over soon....
Did I hit a nerve SteelStang05? Keep up the bad tech advice. You are batting
a 1000 around here.

Posting your inexperience with burnouts tells it all. Hopefully Fazm will give his input on this to show you.I rest my case.

i have 48000+ miles on my car, and never used line locks to do my burnouts. my rear brakes look just fine. about 75% pads left.

if you know how to do it just right, u wont wear the pads very much. yes linelocks is the better way to do it, but its just one more thing id install on my car, waitin for it to fail. i bought the hurst kit about 2 years ago, and never installed it.

Burnouts? Just put your car in drive, push your break down all the way w/your left foot, then slowly push down the gas until you like the amount of smoke the wheel/s are making. Let off the brake and go foward or let off the gas and then drive again.
Then buy some new rear brake pads.........
And tires......
A line lock set-up is the only correct way of burning the rears
without burning up the rear pads and rotors.....

SteelStang05 strikes again.....
jeez....what a dumb *** comment. are you just trying to find ways to bash steel now? that IS generally how people do burnouts on autos. that is also how you use the stall converter to launch at a high RPM.....

also, how does a line lock save your tires?!

the one that you are thinking of is revving in neutral then dropping it into drive. I dont think our cars will actually let you do it though

When you ask if 400rwhp is possible, what is your performance goal, is it MPH, ET or just to have a dyno sheet that says 400rwhp.
