installed cai/tune today...
...when i got home from work
took about a hour.
I got the 87,89,93 tunes from evolution... i had a full tank of 87 in her so i loaded the 87 tune. I havent tried the others, but here is what i can tell you about the 87 tune...
Car sounds no different, maybe the throttle is quicker when reving the engine.
I took her out for a quick spin outside of the city limits...stopped on a empty highway and floored her..
I think it was about 10-15 percent quicker (i have no data to back that up, just a feel thing...)
It will do a decent burnout now...it would never spin a tire before
I was thinking the trans would shift a little harder or firmer...but feels basically the same to me...i dunno
Im gonna try the other tunes once i run this gas out...which will be awhile, since she is only driven about 60 miles a week.
Anyone got any feedback you your experience with tune cai?
oh yeah, tomorrow , i take the seats out to put in the cdc light bar/windblocker..

yeah, 87 tunes will not knock you out your socks. although they are a definate improvement over stock, they don't make you go "HELL YEAH!!!". you should find your best tune experience with the high octane tunes. your 93 tune should be the golden egg. from what i've read, more adjustments can be made with high octane taking full advantage of your car's potential. my bamma 91 race/torq tunes are a BIG difference from my bamma 87 perf tune. after you get a chance to fill your tank with 93 and load that 93 tune in, let us know your experience.

Open the hood and give it some gas.. .you will hear the CAI...
Also, you can adjust the shift pressure with the tuner. I did that with my bamma tune in order to make it feel more like my brenspeed tunes (which i prefer).

just looked it up. seems like you got the C&L intake. thats actually one of top, if not the BEST, intake on the market for our sixrs. i'm trying to upgrade to that one or the demolet intake myself. awesome man. good luck with it.

now that you mention it...i do remember seeing CL stamped in the aluminum...i didnt pay much attention to it at the time.. but CL was stamped in raised letters on it...i had a light stand out...coz it was getting dark and was raining when i installed it (in my carport)
