Default Letter to Motor Trend

I just sent this letter to Motor Trend Magazine;

"I was just looking back at some old M.T. issues I have and ran across the January 2005 one. That was the month you guys had a hard time deciding on the car of the year. In that mag. you guys tested the 2005 Mustang GT. Your sum up said," A thorough refreshing of an old favorite. Don't bother with the V6...the GT is still a bargain!" Boy I think you guys were so wrong in many ways!

I bought a 2007 Mustang V6 with the Pony Package and couldn't be happier! I think 210 hp has plenty of pep and is a great looker. Some
Mustang owners (particularly V6 owners)buy the V6 because of it's looks as well as the fact you can own one for less than 20K. For another 3K you can modify it to beat a stock GT. Not only that, but Car & Driver Mag. rated the 2007 Mustang V6 as the FASTEST car for under 20k!
I always wondered why you guys never featured a Mustang V6 2005+ in your mags. Now I know why! You had your minds made up back in 2005 that it wasn't worth it! Maybe I should stop buying your mags (been a customer for over 10 years) and start buying Car & Driver. At least there they
recognized value in a good car not to mention a LEGEND.

I think all Mustang V6 owners deserve a second look and apology."

as long as they dont feel that its a personal bash to their magazine, i think it will travel through the offices nicely. i'm sure it will be mentioned or discussed in their meetings and hopefully a good article will come out of it. they can't keep turning their heads to all the 4.0's on the road. nice job with the letter!!!

pretty cool, way to show them

I did always hate what magazines tested, it was either the gt, or the v6 convertible automatic, which isnt very fast at all

as stated in their thing, the v6 is always compared to the gt, and not other cars around its price range....It is a very fast car, and gets little to no credit. people automatically correlate v6 with slow. Maybe we should let them drive one of ours so they can get a sense of its speed.
