Default An eyesore!

I noticed this yesterday morning when I was going to work. Not sure where it came from. It doesn't look deliberate. I have another scratch, not as bad above the passenger door handle. Both came at the same time. I don't mind a scratch or two, as it's impossible not to get one, but this one is an eyesore to say the least. I'm having the Ford Dealer bodyshop person take a look at it this Thursday afternoon. This guy is pretty good as I dealt with himpreviously when I first bought my Mustang.I tried using Meguiar's scratch removal on it, but was unsuccessful. I'll let you know how I make out.

Man that really hurts, and pictures are deceiving but that kinda does look dilberate. Maybe a key mark? People in my town give me grief for not ever getting my car out of the garage except on the fair weather weekends, this is a perfect example of why I do this. Nothing but luck to you on getting that removed!

i have a similar one in the same place. not as prominent or noticeable as yours but its there. i figured out that it was the nieghborhood kids who sometimes lean against cars while still on their bikes. these kids are pretty young and i know it wasnt intentional but they should still know better than to be in contact with other people's property. i was certain it was the kids when i found a little hand print in the same area. good thing my car was dusty or else i would have thought it was some chick i might have pissed off in the past.....hehehe .

That sucks, and know I would definitely want to get it taken care of.

I figured it happened between Sunday night 6:00pm and Monday morning 7:00am. I was out on Sunday with the car and I was parked at a friend's house. I usually check around the car before I get in, and I didn't notice anything. I had a 40 mile drive back home that afternoon/evening, and I don't remember brushing up against anything (trees, shrubs, branches, etc). What's weird is today I noticed a similar scratch on my hood. Most of the time, I park under a tree in front of my house, but it doesn't look like this was caused from that. Oh well.....needless to say that I'm upset about this and I hope that I can get this repaired and Ihope it's inexpensive.

Looks deliberate to me....that is a LONG scratch......and if you already tried to rub it out..... I would guess a key made that mark. I park in the farthest well-lit parking places at shopping centers, and I also watch who's parking place I might be taking when I visit friends apartment complex's. I also try to park far from where kids play. I got a football punted dead center onto my hood one day. (no damage thankfully....)
Best of luck getting that scratch fixed.

Try some touch-up paint, followed by Blob Eliminator. I had a pretty deep gouge on the lower half of my bumper, and it looks pretty damn good.
