Default just got back in town from vacation

Hi everyone, well after 3,400 very long miles, Sue, Kali and I rolled back into Sarasota from our trip up to Maryland and Pennsylvania. Wanted to share with you guys how the Mustang performed. In a word - awesome! I've never enjoyed driving my car so much as on this trip. I put it through everything possible that driving can offer. The big thing was all the interstate driving, which constituted most of the trip going up and back on I-95. The car was totally loaded with suit cases and doggie stuff, as well as the three of us. Had to be around 500 lbs. with everything. The 4.10 gears were worth every cent it cost to put them and the T-Lok in. Fabulous acceration when needed. The Brenspeed 87 octane tune and the C&L CAI really growled, especially with the straight through exhaust I have on the car. No excess noise at cruising speeds between 70 and 80 mph. The Shaftmasters aluminum draftshaft also worked flawlessly. The BMR tubular subframe and A-arms took everything 3400 miles could throw at them. Best news of all, average gas mileage was around 25 to 26 mpg with most cruising speeds ranging from 65 to 85. If anybody has any hesitations about whether or not to go with 4.10 gears in your Mustang, do it! Anyway, glad to be back in Florida in one piece. Back to work Monday. Take care all, Jack.

Glad you and the family had a good trip. Once you're settled in, you should post up pics of the car in the places you visited.

Yes,our Mustangs are great road trip cars. Getting ready for a trip to Indiana from Long Island for Thanksgiving. Can hardly wait. Great mileage for 4.10s. Got 29.1 mpg(stock gears) on trip from Alabama this summer.

Here's some photos of what we did in Maryland & Pennsylvania. We started the trip by going to Colonial Williamsburg (VA), then on to Annapolis MD, and finally up to Sue's hometown of Lancaster PA. Spent several days there doing lots of party stuff and visiting family. Then went across PA via the turnpike to Ohiopile State Park. God, what a beautiful area. We enjoyed this part of the trip the most. Hit the peak of the leaves turning here. Again, party time, lots of walks in the woods around the town of Ohiopile, and fabulous restaurants I would have never guessed was in this area. Went to a place called Jumonville,a Methodist Retreat center near Uniontown PA. Last time I went there waswhen I was17 back in 1968. This place is very cool because of a 68 foot cross on the top of the highest point in the area. What a view! This area is full of winding roads in mountainous areas. Boy, what a joy to go through the gears while traversing the switchbacks in the roads. Needless to say, didn't get my best gas mileage when traveling these roads. I was a little heavy on the foot. Anyway, enjoy the photos, some interesting times, Jack.

It's nice to have a car we enjoy driving so much.

Hey jwilhelm, I live like 45 minutes from Williamsburg. I was in Annapolis this past Saturday.....very windy from the storm but it was still nice.

Very nice! Look like you guys had a great time and look so relaxed, even pup looks like he/she is having a great time. When I had my old 733i S6 & 735il S6 bmw's, I use to drive upstate NY alot and had a great time on the old steam trains in hudson valley and the steam ferry. I've had my stang for over a year and it haven't seen I-95 north, yet. One weekend I will go up to Vermont and take some pix's of some covered bridges. Thanks for sharing your pix's with us. Denny!
