nothing wrong with an auto but that is false that autos do not put down less whp. It is simple physics. Automatics are less efficicent when it comes to energy transfer. More mechanical energy becomes heat when being used through an automatic as opposed to a manual in most cases.

no. that's 100% false. if you want me to i'll explain it all in here, but please go read up on thermodynamics and the general design of conventional automatic transmissions (not dsg or the like) vs manual transmissions, you may be surprised by what you see.
