if you would have gotten a 2005 gt (made in 2004 of course) or even better a california special first, you may have a classic. Otherwise I wouldnt bet on it.

he said that his car was one of the first made since it was produced in january 2005.
they actually started production in 2004, making his jan. 05 not the first.

If you want to get more $$ out of your car in the future, then take very good care of it.
I bought an '82 GT that was only two years old for around$8K. I kept it in pristine condition and sold it for $6K four years ago. Some say I could have gotten more, but I was just happy that the guy who bought it said he was using it as a show car.

Here's some food for thought, though. In 2003 flation adjusted dollars you paid about $14k for that 82 GT in 1984. If you had put $8k in the bank at 3% interst in 1984, then you would have had about $14k in 2003 or $25k in 1984 money.
Point being, cars are probably the worst place you can possibly put your money. Even if it's a "classic". Mustangs are plentiful, you can get one that's 40 years old for relatively very little. Buy the car because you enjoy driving it, don't buy it because you think it will be worth money in the future...you'll probably be disappointed if you do.
