C&L Intake....FINALLY GOT IT!!
well i finally got a c&l intake and get to upgrade from my AEM. One thing I must say, the tube is pretty damn heavy duty. i dont know whether to install it or use it as a weapon! now i see why its one of the priciest out there (luckily i found a used one for a good deal). very high quality, very impressed. One quick question for those of you with a c&l already....is the only thing that supports the intake the coupling on the TB and the hole in th shroud/heat shield? there are two screw holes that stick outward on the MAF housing but i dont see where those would connect to. anybody got any info on this? THANKS!

There should be some zip-ties in the package, put these throughthe two holes that are on the front of the heat shield. You can tie it to whatever is next to them. I used the ABS line for a little more support.

got my c&l installed today and its a nice noticeable difference over the AEM. i knew it wouldnt be a huge diff since i was already running bamma tunes with a s&b filter instead of the restrictive dryflow that came with my AEM. either way, i was pleased with the solid difference and now i can move on to the next thing on my mod list....gears, t-lok [8D]

I know that this intake is one of the best on the market but I cant fathom using a zip-tie to support this. Im sure there is a better way to give that thing support. I would be thinking about fabricating a bracket from some metal stock and try not to go the zip-tie direction.
