keep or trade my v6 stang?
want to know what do you ppl think?
here's the deal: I have an opportunity toEXCHANGE (no +$$$) my '07 v6 manual stang with 5+kmiles (basic deluxe w/o options, not even ABS, MSRP was $19,995)for a brand new '08 jeep wrangler x, 6spd manual, soft top, factory 32' tires on 17' rims (MSRP$21,065). Moneywise it sounds like a steal with the current mustang's trade-in value like10-11k$, but there is not just money to it...I likemy stang, buttest drove the jeep and actuallyreally liked it toofor what it is. I was not planning to do any modding to the stang during the warranty period anyway, and IMHO with thestockv6...it hurts to be regularly beaten bysedanslike v6camrys/altimas, even a veryold guy in a new avalon (that hurt most:-(( I live in CO and could really use the jeep for its purpose - lots of cool trails here.
I know its like apple to oranges, kind of a lifestyle choice, just wanted some input from other people - what would you do?
Hope to get some meaningful comments.
Thanks

see if the dealership will let you take the jeep home over the weekend and drive it for a day or two. See if you don't mind missing your stang. The jeep has pros, especially in Colorado, but in the end it comes down to what you want to drive every day and be seen in every day. For me that is a Mustang, but for you it could be a Jeep, and a Wrangler is pretty nice.
Get what you want and don't look back!

I have an 04 jeep that I absolutely love too, but I must admit every time I open the garage and see the stang I fall in love all over again!
Just don't tell my wife....she is getting jealous.lol.

I think it all boils down to what you want to drive everyday. We had a 1982 Jeep Renegade (V8) with 32 " Mickey Thompson's tires. My husband drove it as his DD, but we really enjoyed it most on the beaches in NC.
If they are willing to trade you a brand new Jeep, I say GO FOR IT! Mustangs will always be out there and when you are ready to take on another car, you can get another.

Why did you buy a Mustang? Why didn't you just go buy a Jeep the first time? Think about that before you make your trade. And there will be money involved. I bet you have to pay TTL.
