the X-Charger is also the most reliable and best for daily drivers, right?
The Eaton is, or has been, used by Ford, GM, Mercedes etc on factory supercharged cars. They don't want warranty/reliability issues obviously and the Eaton units have been rock solid for them in huge numbers for years.

Can anyone point to a factory supercharged car with a centrifugal blower? Maybe there's been one or two, but I can't think of it if there has been.

How are those on gas MPG. I hear alot of the S/C kits now the MPG are about the same and a few people said they have seen gains in MPG?

I'd look VERY doubtful at anyone claiming they gained mileage after putting a blower on...

Superchargers(all sorts, turbos too) make power by packing more air and fuel into an engine than it could ingest on it's own. That does not equate to increased mileage.

THe X only makes boost when you're stepping on the throttle pretty strongly. The rest of the time there's a bypass valve that lets it sort of freewheel without building pressure.

Mileage with the X is about the same as stock if you drivenormally and stay out of boost. If you're punching it a lot, you'll drop 1-2mpg. You won't care tho.....trust me...

For SoCal2Fast, this is what mine sounds like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SSXAZC4ZPg
You can do a search on Youtube on "4.0" and "Procharger" or "Vortech" to find other clips to compare

actually when you get the scion centri, it voids the warranty unlike GM, Ford, Mercedes, even if you get it done by the factory/dealer. thats one of the reasons i bought amustang, cause to get the same power from a different car around our price range, you had to go f/i and that would viod the warranty.

Its made by a company called Explorer Express and currently there is no intercooler made for it but they are working on it. Here's their website
