Turbo mods
Hi guys.
I did a little searching, but I wasn't quite sure what to look for, so I apologize if I missed something.
I am considering getting a turbo once spring comes around (and my birthday, so that means money ), but for now, I'm wondering what supporting mods I can do/will need to do once I get the turbo. I have a stock (performance-wise) 4.0 V6, auto, right now. What will I ***need*** to upgrade (suspension, tranny, ...) for the turbo, and what would be something that I "should" do, to get the most benefits?
Thanks!

RE: Turbo mods
tlok and new gears would help, 4.10 and/or 3.73's. headers i think could help perfomance wise. Buckman ran the ph turbo on a stock engine(internal wise), oh and also you might want to upgrade your driveshaft.

Thanks for the responses, guys!
I was thinking about doing the driveshaft, gears, and a t-lok, so it's good to know others think they're good to do as well
Do you think changing the rear end would be beneficial? 7.5->>8.8? I've heard our internals are good for a decent amount of power, I don't plan on pushing over 400 anytime soon.

RE: Turbo mods
well it depends on what you are going to be doing with the car. If it's 99% street car and you won't really be beating on it at the track, the 7.5 should be fine, but if you plan to whoop on it, the 8.8" is worth while. The Driveshaft is definately a good idea, and you should think about some lower control arms. btw 4.1's with the turbo = craziness for a street car. I'd stay away from that combo.

RE: Turbo mods
It's my DD, but I'll take it to the track (especially to race my dad's supercharged Marauder) every once in awhile. What I'm thinking so far is: Aftermarket driveshaft, 8.8 rear w/ either 3.55 or 3.73 gears, and lca...I'm looking into the FRPP suspension pack as I can get it for close to cost.
Thanks for the help guys, and if there's anything else, please chime in!
