What can I use to clean an EGR Valve?

What can I use to clean an EGR Valve?
Hey Guys, My wife's 05' V6 (40K miles) carhas been throwing the CEL for the EGR. I submitted a post and a few guys said it was more than likely just a piece of carbon caught in the valve. I have the EGR off of the car now but I didn't want to just start spraying carb cleaner or something like that into it without asking first. I have an air compressor so I thought that I just might blow it out but I would like to use a cleaner if it is ok.

Do your self a favor and buy a can of Sea Foam. Sure the carb or brake cleaner would work, so would ether, but sea foam is hands down the best carbon cleaner I have ever used in my experience.
